Join us to learn more about this state of mind on our second live webcast CABIN FEVER: Coping with Stress and Anxiety in the Time of Pandemic, on Facebook, August 1, 2020 at 8PM. Pre-show starts at 7:30 with special performances from Dez and Del.


The webcast will discuss the topics on Psychological First Aid (PFA) in the virtual world, psychological resilience in the time of a pandemic, the art of sublimation, and more.


MEET THE PANELISTS

We will be joined by an awesome group of panelists to help us understand and learn more about the psychological effects of the pandemic and how to combat them.


Beatrice Anne Lee

Bea, a psychology graduate at De La Salle University, is a mental health advocate and a certified mental health first responder. She is the person behind Your Local Mental Health Advocate on Facebook. She is also the Interim Vice-Chairperson for Internal Affairs at Youth for Mental Health Coalition, Inc.

Luis Antonio Pastoriza Luis is a Cebuano visual artist based in Manila and graduated with a Psychology degree from De La Salle University. He is currently pursuing the arts through regular participation in competitions, exhibitions, and other projects throughout the local art community.

Pearl Via Soliven-Coballes

Pearl is a registered counselor and licensed psychometrician currently in charge of Student Affairs and Services for Women in Saint Mary’s University - Bayombong. She has over 15 years experience working with adolescents and young adults. She offers compassionate counseling that is inspired by Christian mission. When working with her clients, she values foremost clients’ autonomy to discover their own solutions. She believes that her role as a helper is to cultivate clients’ psychological strengths as they cope with life’s difficulties. Her volunteer work involves being a facilitator and project leader for a community-based drug prevention program for inmates in a local jail. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Clinical Psychology at Far Eastern University – Manila. She is a mental health first responder in mhfr.org.

Luis Villarroel

Luis is a psychologist with a master's degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Santo Tomas. He currently practices as a consultant Psychologist that provides psychological assessment, counseling, and psychotherapy to his clients. He is a volunteer at the UST Psychotrauma Clinic, providing support and counseling for individuals affected by psychological trauma. He is also a core member of the Dementia Society of the Philippines.

Herc Sabas

Herc is a registered psychologist, guidance counselor and psychometrician. He is currently employed as a psychologist at the National Center for Mental Health. He is also a part-time professorial lecturer at Far Eastern University Graduate School and San Beda College Alabang Graduate School.

PRE-SHOW PERFORMERS

Dez and Del are sweet-sounding twins from Quezon City who love music. They have performed at venues such as Jess & Pats for UP Fair: Kalye Tunes. Recently, they released their first single "You" on Spotify and other digital platforms.
