Ang Ilustrador ng Kabataan (Ang INK), the country’s first and only organization of illustrators for children, launches a fresh collection of artwork sharing personal experiences of members—playfully called INKies—in answer to the prompt: “What is your INK story?”
INK Story: 30 Years of Ang Ilustrador ng Kabataan opens 23 October 2021 at 2:00 PM in the Wilson L. Sy Prints and Drawings Gallery, 2F Soledad V. Pangilinan Arts Wing, Areté on campus at the Ateneo de Manila University, Katipunan Avenue, Loyola Heights, Quezon City. The Ateneo Art Gallery (AAG) proudly partners with Ang INK in bringing this anniversary celebration to life in full color.

Founded in 1991, Ang Ilustrador ng Kabataan was the offshoot of a Children’s Book Illustration workshop sponsored by the Philippine Board on Books for Young People and the Goethe-Institut Manila conducted by German illustrator, Reinhard Michl.
Ang INK has more than 70 active members (called INKies) who are illustrators, graphic designers, painters, writers, teachers working in educational institutions, publishing companies, and design and advertising agencies.
INKies used a wide range of media for their works on display including paper, pen and ink, watercolors, acrylic, colored pencils, markers, 3D materials, and digital.
