Shawn Mendes is back to take us to wonderland!
As teased on the enchanting video for the “Intro” track from his upcoming album Wonder, Mendes is here to take us to places with his new music and save us from our social isolation. And here's the sweet part: we don’t have to wait any longer! His first single “Wonder,” will be released this Friday, October 2.
Mendes took to social media on Wednesday midnight the announcement of the single and album with an interactive website featuring a 360-degree tour of the entire apartment from the video teaser. Mendes armies are quick to notice clues to some details of Wonder like what seems to be a set-list revealing its tracklist, a number for text updates about the record, and a painting which could be the album cover.
He also posted a handwritten letter for his fans sharing the process that went into writing the album.
“It really feels like a piece of me has been written down on paper and recorded into song,” his post reads. “I tried to be as real and as honest as I’ve ever been. It’s a world and a journey and a dream and an album I’ve been wanting to make for a really long time.”
Wonder, his fourth studio album following the self-titled release in 2018, is set to drop on December 4.
