Studio Ghibli announced it will start releasing film stills from all their titles online.
From their initial post, 50 images in sequence are now available from each of these movies: When Marnie Was There (2014), The Tale of Princess Kaguya (2013), The Wind Rises (2013), From Up on Poppy Hill (2011), The Secret World of Arrietty (2010), Ponyo (2008), Tales from Earthsea (2006), and Spirited Away (2011).
In a handwritten message posted on the website, Studio Ghibli’s producer Toshio Suzuki requested for people to use the images “freely within the bounds of common sense."
